This position will be filled by a professional who possesses career planning credentials, a minimum of an associate’s degree in human services or related discipline with an emphasis on education and career planning. Other characteristics/experience includes proven ability to establish community relationships with educational institutions and general public facilities, as well as with organizations that serve the target population. Also, this position will develop recruitment programming to introduce customers to WorkSmart Network services, with a primary focus on short term trainings and academies. This positon will entail travel within the Dane County and surrounding area, clean driving record, current vehicle insurance, and valid driver’s license required, along with reliable transportation.
Duties and responsibilities
•Engage Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) customers requesting short term training and employment services. •Targeted recruitment efforts throughout Dane County to fill short term training offerings. •Develop new community relationships in and around Dane County. •Participate in marketing strategies that include social media, advertising, and onsite recruitment as requested. •Participate, as requested, in program orientation and triage Worksmart Network customers to ensure appropriateness for training offerings. •Meet and exceed targeted measurable goals and report on program performance measures. •Strategically align services of Worksmart with Workforce Development Partners.

Qualifications include: •Associate's degree (A. A.); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Background in Human Services, education and/or career planning. •Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. •Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. •Ability of Strong Communication. •Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. •Ability to work independently. •Navigate and utilize Social Media. •To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software and Word Processing software including knowledge of Microsoft Excel. •Must Possess a Clean Driving record, current vehicle insurance, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
