Sorting employees continually strive to maximize facility throughput while maintaining strict outgoing material standards. Sorting employees will be primarily stationed on the sorting platform where they will manually remove recyclable construction material from the sorting conveyor. Each employee will be assigned several materials to pick including: wood, drywall, shingles, aggregates, plastics, metal, cardboard, vinyl siding, etc. Primary recycled materials will be dropped to bunkers located below the sorting line. Secondary materials will be placed in containers located on the sorting platform. Manual sorting, off the floor, will also be required.
Specific Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Sorters must be fast paced people with a drive to maintain maximum efficiency
•Ability to bend, twist, and stand on a continuous basis
•Ability to lift 50-75 lbs on a continuous basis
•Sorters must be able to follow directions to uphold sorting, plant processes, and safety requirements
Hours must be available to work: Monday – Friday 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Hours vary on work load. Typical sorters work 40-50 hrs/week.
Qualifications:
•Fast paced personality
•Industrial laborer experience a plus
•Ability to work overtime
