Primary responsibilities include: Under general guidance, sorting all dirty linen into bins to be transported to laundry; stocking shelves with clean linen; keping entire laundry room clean and straightened.
Essential Functions:
-Perfom all tasks as assigned by Housekeepiing Management
-Clean all assigned areas in accordance with the established standards of cleanliness.
-Stock all shelving with clean linen.
-Ensure all clean linen is organized by type and is neat and orderly
-Sweep and mop laundry room floor on a regular basis.
- Completely sort all linin from the chute, making sure that specialty items such as blankets, bed pads, bedspreads and pillows are separated.
-Bring all shower curtains and liners to the Housekeeping Office.
-Bring all found guest items immediately to Housekeeping office.
-Empty the trash as needed.
-Remove all dirty linin from rollaways and cribs as needed.
-Report all repair needs to Housekeeping Management.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Must be punched in, in uniform and ready for work as scheduled.
-Ability to communicate effectively.
-Ability to push, pull and lift heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs as the position requires continuous transportation of laundry to and from guest and uniform rooms.
-Ability to push and/or pull whelled racks and carts weighing up to 150 lbs.
