The Academy Navigator would possesses a minimum of an associate's degree in human services/related discipline or work experience with an emphasis on program recruitment, case management, work readiness preparation and business development.
Other characteristics or experience would include proven ability to establish rapport with participants and coworkers for the benefit of the participant. This position requires organizational, time management, and excellent communication skills with all levels of clientele.
The Academy Navigator must possess experience with work readiness and retention skills to coach participants to be successful in job placement. The goal of this position is to assist in the transition of a participant with low work skills to a job ready candidate prepared for career employment in an in-demand occupation.
Through a collaborative effort the Academy Navigator will play an active role with the Recruitment and Triage Specialist to support recruitment for short term training academies. Both will partner with on boarding customers into short term training for an efficient transition.
The Academy Navigator will cultivate and maintain community based relationships to promote recruitment and training participation support. The Academy Navigator will target businesses by industry to offer participation with academy events and emplo¡rment through filling job leads.
