Seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist in the Waukesha County area to establish and maintain relationships with public and private organizations in surrounding counties to develop job opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Candidate will work with school districts, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and support networks to provide transition services to individuals with disabilities.
The Business Development Specialist will provide guidance and training in job seeking skills and community resources, arrange for career exploration activities and develop job opportunities.
Applicant qualifications/requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Community Placement and Job Development
• Proficiency in documentation of services and outcome measures, e.g. electronic billing services, paperwork, compliance
• Ability to mentor and work as part of a team
• Marketing skills to establish employment leads and develop relationships
• Ability to interact professionally with private and public agencies
• Experience in working within educational settings
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Services or a related field and/ or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel, a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and a personally-owned vehicle
